On Tuesday June 24th AppStream launched a new version of the SDK. The latest release, has the following improvements:

  • Improved AppStream iOS client performance - Support for the ARM64 architecture in AppStream iOS client SDK. This improves performance on 64-bit iOS AppStream client devices by up to 20%.
  • Debugging Tools - Customers can now conveniently debug streaming application running in Amazon AppStream Standalone mode by using the Remote Tools for Visual Studio.
  • Improved Sample Code - Based on customer feedback, we have simplified AppStream sample code to 600 lines of code from over 2,000 lines of code. The new sample code shows how to use the API calls offered by AppStream's high-fidelity, low-latency STX protocol. This application should help customers to better understand the AppStream SDK to implement application streaming, input handling, and scaling.
