We are excited to announce that effective immediately, AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) users and federated users can now access and manage your account settings, view your bills, manage consolidated billing, and perform cost management. This new capability enables you to grant employees in your finance department full access to the financial setup of your AWS account, without having to give them access to your AWS production environment. You no longer need to use your AWS root credentials to access billing and cost management for your account, enabling you to improve the security of your account by applying the principle of least privilege.
