This new version of the Quick Start makes it easier than ever to get up and running with Trend Micro Deep Security on the AWS cloud. Trend Micro Deep Security is a host-based security product that provides Anti-Malware, Host Firewall, Intrusion Prevention, File Integrity Monitoring, Log Inspection, Web Application Firewalling, and Content Filtering modules in a single agent running in the guest operating system.
AWS Quick Starts are reference deployments that help you quickly deploy software in the AWS cloud. The Deep Security Quick Start uses an AWS CloudFormation template to automate the deployment of the recommended Deep Security configuration from the AWS Marketplace. This deployment includes a highly available database, Elastic Load Balancing (ELB) load balancers, Deep Security, and the network configuration needed to help protect instances in your Amazon VPC right away. You can use the Quick Start to create a proof of concept environment or as the basis of your production roll-out of Deep Security.
This update includes a simplified template with fewer AWS CloudFormation parameters. The template now automatically selects the best instance sizes for Amazon EC2 instances and Amazon RDS database instances based on the number of instances you want to protect. With the new template, you can seamlessly add Deep Security into one of your existing Amazon VPCs. ELB load balancers improve the scalability and fault tolerance of the deployment.
