AWS Service Catalog TagOptions Library Creates a Better Way to Govern Your AWS Footprint

Posted on: Jun 28, 2017

AWS Service Catalog, the recommended tool for managing your approved software and infrastructure products on AWS, has announced a new feature called TagOptions Library to give customers, especially large enterprises, a better way to govern their AWS footprint.

TagOptions Library enables governance and standardization within AWS while maintaining agility for end-users. With this feature, Administrators perform a one-time copy of current tags to the new TagOptions Library, and can populate their TagOptions Library with hundreds of TagOptions that they govern, which can then be associated with portfolios and products. Administrator-defined TagOptions are either automatically applied to the product, at which point they become applied AWS tags. TagOptions on products cascade down as tags to each AWS resource being launched.

TagOptions Library paves the way for cost management, reporting and resource management. Visit here to learn more about the new AWS Service Catalog TagOptions Library.
