Posted on: May 11, 2018

We’re excited to announce the availability of Lumberyard Beta 1.14. With over 200 improvements, fixes, and new features, this release includes a major update to the game engine’s visual scripting environment, new component entities, and more. Some highlights include:

  • Variable Manager (Script Canvas): Use the Variable Manager pane to create and manage variables for supported variable types, create or set variable nodes, and add variables to your Script Canvas graph to declare and initialize them.
  • Bookmarks (Script Canvas): Add a shortcut to a specific location on your Script Canvas graph. You can then use the Bookmarks pane or keyboard shortcuts to move quickly to that location.
  • New Components (Component Entity System): Including the Wind Volume component for creating volumes that are affected by wind; the Sky Cloud component for creating realistic and detailed cloud effects; and the Force Volume component for applying physical force to objects within a volume.
  • Support for Visual Studio 2017.
