Starting today, AWS Secrets Manager enables you to delete secrets without requiring a recovery window. With this capability, you can now delete and recreate secrets, making it easier for you to manage automation jobs that create secrets.
AWS Secrets Manager helps you protect secrets needed to access your applications, services, and IT resources. With AWS Secrets Manager, you can rotate, manage, and retrieve database credentials, API keys, and other secrets throughout their lifecycle. You can now use the AWS Secrets Manager DeleteSecret command with the ForceDeleteWithoutRecovery parameter from the AWS CLI or SDKs to delete a secret, eliminating the wait for a recovery window.
