You can now develop your AWS Elastic Beanstalk applications using PHP 7.2. The latest PHP version comes with numerous improvements and new features such as counting of non-countable objects, object typehint, new sodium extensions, and improved TLS constants to sane values. You can upgrade your existing AWS Elastic Beanstalk PHP environment using the Elastic Beanstalk console or through the AWS CLI and Elastic Beanstalk API.
