Amazon QuickSight Supports Row Level Security Enabled Email Reports, New Analytical Capabilities and More
Amazon QuickSight now supports emailing of dashboards with Row Level Security (RLS) enabled. You can send dashboard snapshots as emails to groups of readers, with each reader receiving customer reports as per the Row Level Security configurations set on the dashboard. See here to learn more.
Additionally, you can now add moving window aggregations on your charts. Moving window aggregations allow you to calculate aggregations within a custom defined window at any point. You can define the window by setting offsets from the selected point, and apply sum, average, minimum, maximum and count within this window. See here to learn more.
Finally, you can now create filters and on-screen controls on fields with large number of values. Earlier you could add filters on only fields with <10K values but now you can filter across all field without any cardinality limits. See here for learn more.
RLS enabled email reports is now available in Enterprise Edition and the remaining updates in both Standard and Enterprise Editions in all QuickSight regions - US East (N. Virginia and Ohio), US West (Oregon), EU (Ireland), and Asia Pacific (Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo).
