You can now schedule AWS DataSync transfers between NFS servers, SMB servers, Amazon S3, and Amazon Elastic File System (Amazon EFS). DataSync task scheduling enables you to periodically execute a transfer task to detect and copy changes from your source storage system to the destination. Customers use DataSync to migrate data to AWS, to transfer data to the cloud for analysis and processing, and to replicate data to AWS for archiving or business continuity.

You can schedule tasks using the DataSync console or AWS Command Line Interface (CLI), without needing to write and run scripts to manage repeated transfers. Task scheduling automatically runs tasks on the schedule you configure, with hourly, daily, or weekly options. This enables you to use a single tool to manage and monitor your data transfers, and ensure that changes to your datasets are regularly copied to your destination storage.

Scheduling is available in all regions where DataSync is available. To learn more, see the DataSync documentation, or to get started, log in to the DataSync console
