You can now run your Java applications on AWS Elastic Beanstalk using Corretto 8 on Amazon Linux 2, and Corretto 11 on Amazon Linux 2 beta platforms.
Amazon Corretto is a no-cost, multiplatform, production-ready distribution of the Open Java Development Kit (OpenJDK). With Corretto, you can develop Java applications and run on AWS Elastic Beanstalk Corretto 8 or Corretto 11 public beta platforms on operating system, Amazon Linux 2.
Amazon Linux 2 is the current generation of Amazon Linux, a Linux server operating system from Amazon Web Services (AWS). It provides a secure, stable, and high performance execution environment to develop and run your AWS Elastic Beanstalk applications.
To get started, create new AWS Elastic Beanstalk Java environments using the Elastic Beanstalk console or through the EB CLI and Elastic Beanstalk API. See Release Notes for additional details. For a complete list of latest platforms, see Elastic Beanstalk Supported Platforms.
