You can now run your applications on the AWS Elastic Beanstalk using the new generation of Node.js, PHP, Go and Ruby Elastic Beanstalk platforms built on top of Amazon Linux 2 Operating System.
The new generation of Node.js on Amazon Linux 2 platform offers separate platform branch for each major version of Node.js and supports procfile. The new generation of PHP on Amazon Linux 2 platform comes with Nginx as default webserver and uses Fast CGI Process Manager to run your PHP application. The new generation of Ruby on Amazon Linux 2 platform enables you to specify your choice of server in Gemfile and comes with Puma as default application server. See Release Notes for additional details. Learn more about the Amazon Linux 2 based Elastic Beanstalk platforms in this blog post.
