Service-Linked Role for Managed Updates
You can now use the Elastic Beanstalk Managed Updates Service-Linked role to add the permissions required to use the Managed Updates feature in your Elastic Beanstalk environment through a role managed by the Elastic Beanstalk service. This ensures that your environment will always have the right permissions to perform Managed Updates. For an overview, see the Release Notes.
