Self-service features and trusted device support are now available on the WorkSpaces Android Client app on Google Play that runs on Android and Android-compatible Chrome OS devices. The new features are intended for customers who use Android or Android-compatible Chrome OS devices as primary WorkSpaces client endpoint devices.

You can now restrict WorkSpaces access to trusted or managed Android or Android-compatible Chrome OS devices, enhancing the overall security posture. With the new self-service WorkSpaces management features, let your WorkSpaces users reboot, rebuild, change the bundle type, increase the volume size, and autonomously manage the running mode of their WorkSpaces. This will reduce dependence on IT teams, minimizing the overall IT request volume.
