Amazon Data Lifecycle Manager (DLM) now offers a new console experience that makes it easier for you to create, modify and manage your DLM policies. The new console allows you to create policies and modify existing policies in a more streamlined manner and provides you more information and easier access to additional resources.

Using DLM, you can define and manage policies that automate the creation, retention, sharing and copying of EBS Snapshots and EBS-backed Amazon Machine Images (AMIs). This eliminates the need for complicated custom scripts to manage your EBS snapshots and EBS-backed AMIs, saving you time and money. There is no additional cost to use Amazon Data Lifecycle Manager to manage your EBS Snapshots and EBS-backed AMIs.

To get started, visit the EC2 Console and check our blogpost to learn about the new experience. You can also toggle back to the previous console experience at any time and provide feedback by clicking on the link underneath the toggle. The updated console experience is now available in all commercial AWS Regions.
