Amazon Location Service adds two new map styles for the base map service from our data provider HERE Technologies. HERE Imagery provides high quality satellite imagery with global coverage and HERE Hybrid displays the road network, street names and city labels over the satellite imagery. Amazon Location Service now has a total of 11 map styles to support a wide range of use cases for interactive maps in applications.
HERE Imagery and Hybrid map styles provide more options for developers for their asset tracking and routing use cases. In addition to HERE vector styles such as HERE Explore and HERE Explore Truck, developers now can overlay user-defined information over satellite imagery and road network to support more use cases in delivery and fleet management business.
Amazon Location Service is available in the following AWS Regions: US East (Ohio), US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), Europe (Frankfurt), Europe (Ireland), Europe (Stockholm), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Sydney) Region, and Asia Pacific (Tokyo).
