Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP doubles the maximum throughput capacity and SSD IOPS per file system
Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP is doubling the maximum throughput capacity per file system from 2 GB/s to 4 GB/s and the maximum SSD IOPS from 80,000 to 160,000, enabling you to accelerate your performance-intensive workloads such as video rendering and database applications.
The new 4 GB/s throughput capacity option delivers up to 2x higher throughput and IOPS performance and offers 2x more in-memory and NVMe read caching, compared to the 2 GB/s throughput capacity option. With the 4 GB/s option, you can drive up to 4 GB/s of read throughput and 160,000 IOPS from SSD storage (6 GB/s of read throughput and 650,000 IOPS from the NVMe read cache) and up to 1.8 GB/s of write throughput.
Starting today, you can create file systems with 4 GB/s of throughput capacity and 160,000 SSD IOPS in the following AWS Regions: US East (Ohio), US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), and Europe (Ireland). For more information, please visit the FSx for ONTAP documentation and the FSx for NetApp ONTAP product page.
