Amazon Kendra is an intelligent search service powered by machine learning, that enables organizations to provide more relevant information to customers and employees, when they need it.
Today, we are excited to announce Kendra’s expanded language support for semantic search, adding 7 new languages: Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese.
Customers with content in those languages can now benefit from the full range of semantic features in Kendra including FAQ matching, document ranking, and question answering. No setup or configuration needed, the new language capabilities are enabled by default for customers to use immediately.
Amazon Kendra semantic search language expansion is enabled in the following AWS regions: US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), US West (Oregon), Europe (Ireland), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Canada (Central) and AWS GovCloud (US-West).
