Amazon MQ now provides support for RabbitMQ version 3.11, a new minor version release, which includes several fixes and improvements to the previous versions of RabbitMQ supported by Amazon MQ - 3.8, 3.9, and 3.10. With RabbitMQ version 3.11, Amazon MQ is also introducing a default operator policy on each virtual host with high availability properties enabled.
If you are running earlier versions of RabbitMQ, such as 3.10, 3.9 or 3.8, we strongly encourage you to upgrade to RabbitMQ 3.11. This can be accomplished with just a few clicks in the AWS Management Console. We also encourage you to enable automatic minor version upgrades on RabbitMQ 3.11 to help ensure your brokers take advantage of future fixes and improvements in 3.11.
To learn more about upgrading, see Managing Amazon MQ for RabbitMQ engine versions in the Amazon MQ Developer Guide. To learn more about operator policies and how to manage them, see configurations. To learn more about the versions, read the RabbitMQ Changelog. These new features are available in all regions where Amazon MQ is available. For a full list of available regions see the AWS Region Table.
