AWS Wickr now offers Data Retention that extends to both internal and external communications in a Wickr network. A Wickr network administrator can configure and apply Data Retention to all in-network conversations. This includes shared media and files, as well as conversations with guest users, external teams, and other partner networks to help meet internal, legal, and regulatory requirements.

AWS Wickr is an end-to-end encrypted enterprise collaboration service that helps you communicate securely with internal and external users, while working to meet compliance requirements. With Wickr, you can enable one-to-one and group messaging, voice and video calling, file sharing, screen sharing, and location sharing, without increasing organizational risk. Wickr networks can be quickly created through the AWS Management Console, and workflows can be automated with AWS Wickr bots. Wickr allows you to maintain administrative control over data, including setting permissions, configuring ephemeral messaging options, and defining security groups. Information can be logged to a private data store for retention and auditing purposes.

AWS Wickr and its Data Retention feature are currently available in the AWS US East (Northern Virginia), AWS GovCloud (US-West), and AWS Canada (Central) Regions.
