Today, AWS Audit Manager announces integration with Amazon EventBridge. This integration means customers can now use AWS Audit Manager published events as part of their event-driven architecture. Amazon EventBridge is a service that provides real-time access to changes in data in AWS services, your own applications, and software as a service (SaaS) application without writing code.Within AWS Audit Manager, you can now receive state change notifications whenever an assessment is created, edited, or deleted. You can also be notified about changes to any delegation workflow or assessment control status.

AWS Audit Manager event notifications with Amazon EventBridge allow you to make use of advanced filtering and routing capabilities to send events to 15 targets including AWS Lambda, Amazon Kinesis, AWS Step Functions, and Amazon SQS. With this integration, you can streamline communications across teams. For example, when a rule detects that a delegate reviewed a control set, you can automatically notify the audit owner by using an Amazon SNS topic to send an email, or using an AWS Lambda function to send a notification to a Slack channel. You can also archive and replay Audit Manager events, allowing you to reprocess an event in the case of an error or the addition of a new application module.

Support for Amazon EventBridge is available in all AWS Regions where AWS Audit Manager is available. Learn more about Amazon EventBridge integration in the Audit Manager documentation. Get started today by visiting AWS Audit Manager Console, AWS Command Line Interface, or using our APIs.
