Today, Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS) announces the general availability of AWS Countdown, a service that enables successful migrations, modernizations, streaming, and go-live events. AWS Countdown helps you throughout the project lifecycle to assess operational readiness, identify and mitigate risks, and offers proven playbooks developed by AWS experts.

With the launch of AWS Countdown, we are adding a premium tier which provides critical support with designated engineers across all phases of your cloud projects from design to post launch retrospectives. AWS Countdown Premium’s designated engineers are selected from a team of AWS experts, who provide proactive guidance and troubleshooting. Designated engineers ensure continuity from project inception, provide access to subject matter experts, and leverage support tools for faster issue resolution. They participate in critical events calls, e.g. for sales events or migration cutovers, to provide rapid issue resolution. AWS Countdown Premium helps you increase your infrastructure investment return by accelerating migrations and modernizations, and enables you to deliver high impact go-live events and achieve your business goals.

AWS Countdown is available in English, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese for workloads hosted in all available AWS Regions and the AWS GovCloud (US) Regions, except the AWS China Regions.

AWS Countdown replaces AWS Support’s Infrastructure Event Management (IEM) service, and is included with Enterprise Support. AWS Countdown Premium is available for Business Support, Enterprise On-Ramp, and Enterprise Support customers as a monthly subscription for an additional fee. Contact your account representative or visit the AWS Countdown webpage for more information.
