Today, AWS announces support for Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) within Amazon CodeCatalyst Dev Environments. This launch allows you to connect to a VPC from your Dev Environment, extending the number of developer scenarios supported by CodeCatalyst.
Until now, resources on a VPC could only be accessed from a dev environment if there was a public route to that resource. Moving forward, you can make an API call to validate the update of a private resource, download VPC accessible S3 files, or access a database schema from your Dev Environment.
This feature is available in all Regions where CodeCatalyst is generally available. To learn more, see the VPC documentation in the Amazon CodeCatalyst Administrator Guide.
