About
The AWS Education Champions program recognizes, celebrates, and supports education leaders driving digital transformation with cloud computing. Education Champions share the Amazon Web Services (AWS) team’s vision of creating a world where education is always available, personal, and lifelong for everyone. They serve as inspiration for the next generation of educators and educational leaders and tell their stories through social media, conferences, workshops, and events.
Modernize and Secure the Academy
From moving mission-critical IT systems to the cloud to building a digitally connected campus, colleges and universities of all sizes are modernizing their administrative operations on AWS to become more secure, agile, and resilient for the future. AWS helps provide increased agility, data security, compliance, and disaster recovery while helping to lower costs.
Turn Data into Wisdom
Institutions have plenty of data, but using that data to gain insights and make informed decisions can be a challenge. AWS can help optimize the lifecycle of institutional data, including collection, ingestion, processing, analytics, short-term storage, and archiving. We also provide sophisticated capabilities to support real-time streaming and analytics, petabyte-scale warehousing, business intelligence tools, and machine learning (ML).
Enrich the Student Experience
A digitally-savvy student population expects 24x7 access to personalized, digital experiences both in and outside of the classroom. From virtual computing labs, intelligent digital assistants, and innovative voice technologies to extended reality environments, AWS is helping institutions create new ways for communicating with and engaging students, ensure continuity of teaching and learning, and improve equity and access to digital resources.
Empower Researchers and Accelerate Research
Researchers need to collaborate with colleagues around the world and access to on-demand compute, storage, and advanced analytics resources at a scale not readily available on campus. AWS supports research across higher education, and national and international research agencies. AWS also provides researchers with access to open datasets, funding, and training to accelerate the pace of innovation.
