Max Peterson, Vice President, WWPS, AWS

Max Peterson is the vice president of the AWS worldwide public sector. With over thirty years of public sector experience, Peterson is passionate about the power of cloud computing to drive digital transformation and achieve mission outcomes across government, education, and nonprofit sectors. Today, over 7,500 government agencies, over 14,000 academic institutions, and over 35,000 nonprofit organizations in more than 190 countries and territories use AWS.

Isabella Groegor-Cechowicz, Vice President, WWPS EMEA Sales, AWS

Isabella Groegor-Cechowicz is the vice president of EMEA sales and joined AWS worldwide public sector in July 2020. She is responsible for public sector customer success in the EMEA Region. Isabella’s motto is to drive a “customer obsessed team” while engaging with government and defense customers in many countries on the benefits of cloud and the broad portfolio of services offered by AWS. Isabella’s team also engages with education and healthcare customers.

 Jeroen Minnaert, Chief Architect and Head of Data at Showpad.

Jeroen joined Showpad as one of the first engineers in 2012. He has been actively leading the design and implementation of Showpad’s architecture. He also leads Showpad’s data department that is responsible for Showpad’s data architecture and data maturity. Showpad is a global leader in revenue enablement technology, providing teams with a modern selling solution for maximizing hybrid sales. In more than 50 countries, customers rely on the Showpad platform to empower their teams to be at their best. Showpad has been named a Strong Performer by Forrester's Wave for Sales Content Solutions, recognized as a top 10 software company by G2, and listed in Deloitte's Fast 50.

Kirsten Schuiit, CEO WWF Netherlands

Since 2016, Kirsten Schuijt has been the CEO of the World Wide Fund (WWF) for Nature within the Netherlands. She holds a PhD in environmental economics and, in addition to a long career in the global WWF network, has held various management positions, including at FSC Netherlands, TRAFFIC (the international research organization on wildlife trade) and the Wildlife Justice Commission.

Philippe Merle, chairman of the Cloud Council of the European Commission

Philippe Merle is Chairman of the Cloud Council of the European Union, and Deputy Head of Unit of Cloud and Service Management Capabilities, DG DIGIT at the European Commission. As of August 2014, he has overseen the technical aspects of cloud procurement for the EU institutions and cloud evangelists within the institutions. In addition, he created a cloud brokering service used by all EU Institutions. As chairman of the Cloud Council, he drives the technical governance of cloud adoption in the Institutions. Phillipe holds an MSc in IT engineering in real-time, network and distributed system from École nationale supérieure d’informatique et de mathématiques appliquées of Grenoble.

Highly interactive sessions with a small audience. Experts lead you through problems and solutions on a digital whiteboard as the discussion unfolds.
AWS DeepRacer Workshops
Hands-on learning session where you will get started with reinforcement learning (RL), a machine learning (ML) technique through AWS DeepRacer. An AWS account is needed and a AWS credit will be provided to all attendees. Come prepared with your laptop and willingness to learn.
