As an Executive Government Advisor, Laura works with state and local government executives to plan large and complex digital transformation programs, course correct existing programs and modernize their existing IT portfolio while minimizing business disruption. She brings over 20 years of experience in leading, planning, and executing large complex digital transformation programs in the public and private sector at city, state, national, and international levels.

Laura guides customers on the people, process, technology, and policy components of managing digital transformation. Her specialty areas of focus include digital identity management, constituent engagement portals, digital equity, workforce upskilling, contact management centers, and technology modernization initiatives.

Prior to joining Amazon Web Services (AWS), she served as the Chief Digital and Transformation Officer at MTX, where she built a digital transformation organization to assist State and Local Governments and Higher Education institutions. This included planning and executing complex transformations for their agencies, including COVID-19 pandemic initiatives. She served the Commonwealth of Kentucky as an Executive Innovation Advisor, driving cloud adoption, modernization, and maximizing the benefit of the cloud investment across multiple state agencies.

She also led transformational programs for large corporations such as Schneider Electric and Lexmark International for Customer Relationship Management (CRM), E-commerce, Master Data Management, and Quote to Cash.

Laura earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kentucky.

She lives in Lexington Kentucky with her husband, and two children. Laura enjoys boating, water sports, horse racing, and live theatre.
