Just Eat Takeaway Uses AWS to Scale to Meet Unprecedented Demand
The largest global online food delivery marketplace outside of China, Just Eat Takeaway experienced sudden, massive growth when the COVID-19 pandemic struck and customers wanted to get their favorite restaurant dishes delivered. By building on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Just Eat Takeaway was able to respond to this growth by not only physically scaling its services but also finding new and innovative ways to help its staff work from home and continue to onboard restaurants. “As we go forward and see whatever the future throws at us, I know that I’ve got a platform that will be able to support that and an infrastructure suite that will enable us to innovate even as that scale and pace increases,” says Just Eat Brands and Just Eat Takeaway CTO Richard Haigh.
