Effortless Server Setup That Simplifies Our Business
What do you like best about the product?
The server is very simple to set up and get working with a few clicks. This made it really easy for us as a business. The support was top notch; receiving daily updates of how to do certain things and then an optional meeting to go through any questions I had where they explained a lot of the key services and points of information.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of anything I dislike about the server.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The OpenVPN solution was beneficial to us in two important ways. During our building transition, it was essential for our employees to have reliable access to our network, and OpenVPN made this possible. Furthermore, as we were testing a business application hosted in the cloud, the VPN provided us with the secure access we needed.

What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate most about OpenVPN Access Server is the strong security it offers, all while remaining user-friendly. It enables secure remote access to internal systems from any location, maintaining a stable and dependable connection. The setup process is simple for users, and after connecting, it operates quietly in the background without interfering with daily tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
ometimes the connection can be a bit slow, and if the VPN disconnects unexpectedly, it can interrupt work and require reconnecting. While it doesn’t happen often, it can be inconvenient when it does.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OpenVPN Access Server solves the problem of secure remote access to internal systems and sensitive data. It allows our team to safely connect to private services from different locations, protecting systems from unauthorized access. This benefits us by improving security, enabling remote work, and ensuring that only authorized users can access critical platforms without exposing them to the public internet.
Simple Configuration and Secure Access to Cloud
What do you like best about the product?
I like the easy and quick installation and implementation of OpenVPN Access Server, as well as its functionalities. I also value the integration with AWS and have found the tutorials useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
the price could be a little lower for the first sector (less than 20 users)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use OpenVPN Access Server to secure connectivity from various locations to my cloud infrastructure, with integration to SSO and MFA.
Effortless Setup Makes Deployment a Breeze
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of setup for the end user. We had to deploy about 20 OpenServer Appliances in about 2 months. Getting the end users setup and working was a breeze
What do you dislike about the product?
Not having Port Groups setup for server access. If I need someone to have access to one server and just RDP (for example), i need to create 2 rules (1 for TCP and 1 for UDP). It would be nice to be able to bundle TCP/UDP ports together.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The big business problem that they helped us solve was the fact that we had our clients on Sonicwall SMA for the past 10 years or so and we were able to switch all of them over in about 2 months.
Effortless Agent Installation and Configuration
What do you like best about the product?
The best part is hoy easy it is to install and configure the agents on laptops
What do you dislike about the product?
What I didn’t like is that because we set everything up ourselves, there wasn’t much documentation to help with the issues we ran into, but we managed to fix them

The connection between workstations and cloud environments that are not exposed to the public internet
Reliable VPN with Strong Authentication and Seamless Cross-Platform Support
What do you like best about the product?
OpenVPN Access Server is a highly reliable solution. I especially appreciate its strong authentication features, which integrate easily with AD, LDAP, or RADIUS. Its comprehensive cross-platform compatibility also ensures that all users experience stable and consistent connections.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up advanced features like NAT, ACLs, or routing is not straightforward and demands a strong understanding of networking concepts. Additionally, gathering and logging comprehensive information about active sessions can be quite challenging unless you use external tools or custom scripts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This is the ideal solution for environments where uncompromising security and smooth integration are essential. Its implementation plays a vital role in minimizing the risk of breaches and guarantees there is no vendor lock-in. Additionally, it delivers highly efficient performance, significantly boosting productivity by operating at speeds that are almost equivalent to those of the local network.
Effortless Remote Work with Top-Notch Security
What do you like best about the product?
It makes it easy for employees to work from home or from a remote location without compromising security
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there are slight glitches that requires help from IT which can be cumbersome
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Covid, Open VPN was something that allowed all of us to be able to work from home without compromising our company's security! A lot of us are still working from home and this is truly due to Open VPN!

Superior User Experience and Visibility Compared to AWS VPN
What do you like best about the product?
The client user experience is much better than AWS VPN. Also there is better visibility of which users are connected etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price per user is a bit steep, especially since I have to self-host the server component

Access to private VPC

The setup on AWS is very straightforward and administration is simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
The customer support was not very good when I had to troubleshoot billing issues and it took several weeks to resolve a simple problem
