WatchGuard, Still Complete Network Security in One Red Box
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of configuration, low total cost of ownership, excellent vendor support.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not have any dislikes about WatchGuard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Complete perimeter network security, application control, gateway anti-virus, intrusion prevention service, multifactor authentication, and recently added their EPDR endpoint security too.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are not satisfied with the typical web-based GUI management interface of other mainstream firewalls, contact WatchGuard and ask for a trial.
A firewall and intuitive software and the most versatile hardware.
What do you like best about the product?
The versatility of the Product is one of its best features... The configuration of the rules is very intuitive to perform, apart from all the options for the control and supervision of the lines and connected equipment.
What do you dislike about the product?
Actually, it's about the product I have because even though you can have several lines connected and perform load balancing, the connection to the internal network is at 1gb, and that limits the total bandwidth.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Well, as already mentioned above, there is no solution unless you choose much more powerful hardware... But the benefits in general are the versatility it gives me in connecting multiple lines to implement and have various rules.

Well, as already mentioned... The versatility and ease of implementation of the product!
I have found the security very easy to use as an admin and we haven't had any security breaches

The ease of use, I can do everything I need in the policy manager

Nothing that I can think of, it all works as expected

It is very easy to create reverse proxies that keep our systems secure and the speed in which I can make changes in order to ensure the business keeps running

The ease of access and configuration and the integration with Active Directory

That the DLP license is not as complete as other DLP solutions in the market

I can have a full statistics about my workstations and their network activity

So many of the features are as easy to use as clicking a box. All of the subscription based services update themselves, need very little tweaking right "out of the box".
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the wifi stuff mystifies me yet, but I haven't had time to sit and study it like I should.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Some normal network security issues that are beyond a simple Netgear or Linksys router. Being able to set up VPNs easily, more security for remote desktop applications and people that work remotely occasionally.
A lot of features that help the compliance of many security certificactions like PCI DSS

Technical support is fantastic. The successive upgrades of the XTM OS's add great features and strengthen security
What do you dislike about the product?
The response time in the resolution of the tickets is somewhat slow, but the time difference with Argentina is an important determining factor.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thanks to the protection of the Watchguard UTMs, we have managed to overcome the constant hacker and ransomware attacks that we have been suffering.

Watchguard offers a comprehensive security solution. The extra products included for example in Total Security Suite are very easy to use and configure

The ability to setup employees for VPN. Being able to restrict harmful websites.

The desktop app is dated and is somewhat archaic.

During the pandemic many users have to work from home. Watchguard allows us to accomplish a safe work from home environment

1- I need to save to have changes
2- no good load balancing with internet or interfaces, because don't have more options to have this load balancing with an sd wan

Problems with ransomware, issues with load balancing, issues with a network secure, at this moment have visibility on the web and sharing internet and VPN.
