Percona Server for MySQL - enterprise level database for free
What do you like best about the product?
Percona Server for MySQL is a fully-compatible drop-in replacement of MySQL. It has all the features of MySQL enterprise edition for free and even more. Easy to set up a cluster and create backups without locking tables and downtime.
What do you dislike about the product?
It supports the most popular Linux distros but I'm missing the Windows and OS X versions. It's a minor problem because there are official Docker images. Another small problem is that the Docker images are only for amd64 and there is no support for arm64 yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For a cost-restricted project, Percona Server is a great choice for a free enterprise-level database. Percona makes it easy to set up a cluster with the XtraDB Cluster
Robust, enterprise level MySQL DB server
What do you like best about the product?
Many problems and bottlenecks with standard MySQL were solved. Easy to set up a cluster create backups without locking tables and downtime. Swift and good support helping with DB optimization and performance boost.
What do you dislike about the product?
Support can be complex and expensive if environments grow and become multi-clustered or hybrid cloud solutions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Got multiple online shops with extensive DB and a high number of products. Just switching from standard MySQL to Percona open source got a great performance boost. After using optimization tools, got an even better and faster response time.

An amazing server
What do you like best about the product?
Percona Server for MySQL is really awesome because it is SAAS deployable, works on premises and in the cloud and also it is enterprise ready and the workload consideration is superb.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that I dislike about the product but I hope more new features will be added soon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Through Percona Server for MySQL we are having a huge benefit, as we can work through the server both in on prem and the cloud. Also the server workability is very smooth and also the SAAS deployable feature helps in automation of certain things.

I highly recommend everyone to use this product.

I did not find anything that I can place as dislike.
Of course, it is not the same as Oracle MySQL Enterprise Tools, etc, but 100% it is a good option if you want to have only support with free Enterprise

We are having enterprise configuration in Percona MySQL and utilizing them to gain a max performance and best replication
Superb tool to monitor wide range of applications
PMM is a good stable monitoring platform along with performance administration tool which can be used to monitor your databases and a whole range of applications. It provides some great amount of information about runtime SQL statements and their metrics like latency, SQL Text and execution plans, all under Query Analytics section and is my favorite feature. We have faced one problem where instances disappeared in Grafana after some time, but it was later on fixed after changing few configurations at the Grafana server. At present we have configured this in our pre production environment and very soon we will be exploring the entire product and it's options.
Percona's Magical Tool (😘PMM)
It's really good experience using PMM in AWS EC2 compute engine.
Actually we are using Percona Monitoring and Management in a mixed environment with on-premises Percona Server for MySQL, ProxySQL and PostgreSQL and both Azure and AWS Databases.
PMM provides a realtime metrics it will give a good insight on what is happening in the database.
In PMM mostly I like QAN because it makes availability a very detailed overview of the query performance.
Must have monitoring tool
If you have PMM, you don't need to worry about metrics, dashboards, configs etc. It is build-in monitoring tool that have Grafana, Prometheus and Clickhouse. You can use every Prometheus exporter with it. Built-in dashboards are awesome! You can not imagine how detail metrics it can gather. Thanks Percona, another brilliant product!
Great GUI Monitoring Tool
PMM is an excellent tool to monitor various applications and to track various instances. Usage data extraction from services, clusters or server is quite easy and provide a lot of details that can be very handy when you are handling some issue or addressing some situation.
I loved the GUI Interface but being new to the tool I was kinda stuck sometimes between the UI flow which can be made a bit more understandable and easy to navigate and use.
Now as it's available to AWS instances, I am gotta use it in full swing for my further Dev projects and see it in full action.
