Exactly What We Needed
What do you like best about the product?
ETLeap is exactly what we needed to help us when our company decided to shift priorities and stopped having a full time data engineering team. As a small project we were able to use it to replace our aging Airflow ETL processes with a fully managed service, significantly reducing amount of time lost to incidents, and at a significantly lower cost than some of the other competitors we considered.
- Their customer support was great in helping us get everything set up, including work on a custom adapter we needed to make the switch.
- Our Data Analyst was able to get the hang of it very quickly, allowing him to be self-sufficient in pulling new data as needed

What do you dislike about the product?
- ETLeap still doesn't support all of the connections we would like it to, but the recent HTTP adapter is helping with that!
- The way user permissions work feels a bit awkward for our current setup (no way to share by default)

Feature rich, easy UI, and great support
What do you like best about the product?
ETLeap was very easy for us to set up and use for our high volume databases and apps. They provide a good selection of integrations, and their support team was willing to do custom work for us. Their product does exactly what we need it to do, with very little configuration on our end, and at a very competitive price. We're super happy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see them expand into reverse ETL
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use ETLeap to transfer data from RDBs and 3rd-party applications into our analytics warehouse. The ETLeap platform has been easy to set up, and requires minimal maintenance with auto-discovery of new fields. We have used their ETL tools (e.g. JSON extraction) successfully, although we do most of that work downstream with DBT.
The name says it all
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to specify transformations at pipeline level for any kind of sources including APIs proves very valuableas it avoids having to manage another downstream pipeline to clean up the data. It truly integrates ETL operations with data replication which seems the primary use case.
Also worth mentioning is the level of dedicated support we receive from Etleap. The support quality we receive from Etleap is head and shoulders above any of the SaaS vendors we have ever worked with.

What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the product feature to support seamless transition for AWS Blue/Green deployments for transactional CDC based sources is released soon which would make such migrations a much smoother process going forward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Replication data from various sources into the Databricks Lakehouse and Redshift. It avoids the need of having to write custom integrations with each source system.

Scale your ingestion along with your business with easy to use Etleap
What do you like best about the product?
-- Coverage of the most important connectors (S3, Google Sheets, Event Stream, Postgres, MySQL are the ones we used) in the market.
-- For analysts, Etleap provides extensive out-of-the-box functionality in the Wrangler, where they can click a few buttons and be done, easily. And for engineers who want the flexibility to build from the ground up, Etleap gives them the liberty to write their custom functions and then execute the transformations.
-- Etleap support has been phenomenal over the years and whenever we've had to rely on them, they've been super professional and prompt with the support offered.
-- At the price point they're positioned and the ease of use they offer in the ETLT process, this is a killer combo!

What do you dislike about the product?
The number of connectors used to be one of the concerns in the past but they've been building up steadily on that front.
Once it also supports a bunch of destinations and can be AWS agnostic, ETLEAP's gonna absolutely crush the competition.

Time Saver and Easy to Use
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy ETLeap makes connecting and creating pipelines. Their latest updates to the UI have been amazing. I love that I can access my support tickets directly from their UI and the training documentation. The support staff is super responsive and ready to help. Their support goes above and beyond to triage and fix issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not really a dislike, but it would be nice if ETLeap allowed for more levels of permissions, such as an in between to admin and user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They're helping us create pipeline connections in Reshift that feed into our BI tool, which helps us in turn, analyze data and answer business questions. They make the connection to pipelines easy to setup and easy to maintain.
Etleap saves us time and helps in building data integrations
What do you like best about the product?
Etleap is easy to setup and supports a growing list of connectors. It allows to do basic transformations and build models to serve all of our data needs. Etleap has been essential in the success of the business.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a dislike but giving the user more flexibily and customiztion when building pipelines would help optimize and make the whole ETL process even better.

Etleap is helping us streamline our entire data integration process. It starts with extracting the data from various sources to modeling everything together and providing a final report.
Quick, easy, reliable pipelines with Etleap
What do you like best about the product?
* The combination of pre-built and tested connectors, tooling to quickly configure and deploy pipelines, and operational monitoring and support is really valuable. This allows our relatively small data team to manage more pipelines than we otherwise could and we continue adding more.
* Pipelines are quick and easy to build. There have been times where I built pipelines in real time while talking with data analysts about data we want to consider bringing to the warehouse. Over the course of a meeting we could build a pipeline, get data into our warehouse, and start exploring the data.
* Etleap has a very capable team building and supporting their product. We saw this in our initial evaluation where they helped us work though some challenges weeks faster than a better known competitor. As other challenges have come up I have always been impressed with the Etleap staff we work with. They have worked with folks from our data, security, network and other teams and it's always been very productive collaboration. They are a great partner and extension to our team.
* We get a lot of value for the cost with Etleap and proposals from their competitors have always been significantly higher cost.

What do you dislike about the product?
There hasn't been much I dislike. There have been a few SaaS connectors that we would have used if available but they were not.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Etleap helps us quickly build and easily maintain data pipelines that bring data to our warehouse from a variety of on-premise and cloud databases as well as many SaaS applications. With Etleap a relatively small team can build and support a lot of pipelines and still have the capacity to build more.
Etleap is great software
What do you like best about the product?
There are many nice features. Etleap has an array of connectors that allow you to source data from AWS S3, FTP servers, relational databases, and more. It can convert csv, json, xml documents into parquet, and it integrates with the AWS glue catalog to make building a queryable data lake easy. The data wrangler makes it easy to do some transformations on the data when needed.
But I think the best feature is how it scales so well across big and small tables. Just to give an idea, when I say big tables, our largest tables have billions of rows. It does this with an auto-scaling EMR cluster that adjusts by shrinking and growing as needed.

What do you dislike about the product?
Most of the time the UI is very helpful, but there have been times when the UI reports a problem with not enough information. This has improved over time, but when it happens we reach out to support. Support is good about giving us additional detail when we ask.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use etleap to aggregate all our data into a central data lake. Having all this data queryable with Athena is a huge benefit, and it allows us to join datasets that were previously separate.
