Limited Reporting and Alerting, Sophos Firewall’s reporting features are not as robust as some competitors. Notifications and alerting mechanisms may also lack granularity

Granular Web and App Control, Sophisticated filtering and control over web content and applications to enforce compliance and reduce risk.

What do you like best about the product?
The operation is user-friendly, the customer support is top-notch, and all the features are good. The implementation is simple. The integration of the firewall into daily work was easy. We use the system often and appreciate everything it can do.

At the beginning, you have to get used to everything, but you quickly get into it.

Problems to be solved: threat protection, internet access control, visibility, and reporting.

What do you like best about the product?
My overall experience with the Sophos Firewall was positive. It offers robust features, including advanced threat protection, user-friendly reporting, and seamless integration with endpoint security. The user interface, which is somewhat complex at first, becomes intuitive with regular use. Features like synchronized security, web filtering, and VPN management are very effective for enterprise environments. The support documentation and community forums are also helpful for troubleshooting and learning. Occasional firmware updates require careful planning to avoid disruptions, but overall, the product is reliable and does a good job of securing network infrastructure. It is a strong solution for both small and large businesses.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although I do not reject the Sophos Firewall, some users might find the interface somewhat complex for beginners, and occasional firmware updates can disrupt services if not properly planned. However, with the right configuration and understanding, it remains a powerful and reliable security solution for most organizational needs.

What do you like best about the product?
The FortiGate firewall offers a fast, secure, and user-friendly security platform. It is easy to migrate and update, very intuitive, and simple to master.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes FortiGate can be slow and have some errors that are quite annoying.
However, it is good that patches are released quickly to fix these.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The firewall is running stably, we have no problems.
Sophos XGS + Endpoint Protection works very well, we love these products

What do you like best about the product?
The integration with Sophos Central is clean and makes remote management really straightforward. The UI is intuitive for most day-to-day tasks, and the security features (like web filtering, IPS, and application control) are solid out of the box. I also like how it ties in with other Sophos products—it’s clear the ecosystem was designed to work well together.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like for Sophos Central to be able to connect to the firewalls more reliably. I find myself never really using Central and just interfacing with the firewall directly as it's more responsive. Certain rules and NAT translation rules are a little hard to keep track of when linking to rules.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
RED tunnels and site to site VPN quite effective.

The intrusion prevention system in Sophos XG Firewall impacts my security posture because they were impacted by ransomware and cyber threats, but I did not face any issues. I have more than 800 servers live from Sophos.
I have experienced that the benefits from Sophos XG's synchronized security feature are very good, and I have not faced any issues with this.

Sophos XG uses AI effectively to enhance threat detection and response, securing from AI at the packet level.
What needs improvement?
While all features of Sophos XG are good, some improvement is needed in the UI, as sometimes beginner users get lost in UI settings and do not understand where to find specific settings.

I have been using Sophos XG for more than 10 to 12 years, and I have experience with Cyberoam.
What was my experience with deployment of the solution?
The deployment of Sophos XG took me a maximum of half a day, specifically two to three hours maximum.

The stability of Sophos XG rates at 10 out of 10.

The scalability of Sophos XG is very good, and I rate it 10 out of 10.

I personally took part in the installation of Sophos XG recently with the vendor, though earlier I installed it by myself.
I conduct maintenance for Sophos XG, and generally, I transfer our data in one and a half hours to a new Sophos XG machine. I have barely needed any maintenance in 10 years.

What other advice do I have?
I would recommend Sophos XG to other companies because we are an MSP provider and all our customers are using Sophos technology. My first recommendation is Sophos.
While earlier the reporting in Sophos XG was not good, in the recent software launch, the reporting has improved significantly, as most information is readily available.
