What do you like best about the product?
It works and has been a very strong part of or network security

I've yet to find anything I dislike about Sophos.

Sophos XGS3100
What do you like best about the product?
The XGS3100 runs extremely stable and has no downtime due to HA operation. Connecting more than 150 RED20 is not a problem and the firewall still runs smoothly. The large number of modules and options allow the continuous development of the company without having to invest in new hardware.
What do you dislike about the product?
The firewall has no real disadvantages for us. It meets our requirements and leaves no open wishes for us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had the challenge of connecting all our locations securely and cost-effectively with the headquarters. Here, XGS with the RED20 met all the requirements.

What do you like best about the product?
Sophos firewall is easy to use and has clean UI its simple to create rules and policies. The best part of the firewall is how it integrates with Sophos Central and the teams we subscribe to in our licenses have further preview into our environment. I personally use the firewall nearly everyday whether its resetting VPN passwords or checking central for any alerts across our devices. we recently implemented ZTNA which was simple enough to setup and for the harder parts where we didn't really understand Customer Service was always happy to help.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much to dislike about the firewall, the UI & reporting could be nicer sometimes you can get lost within sub menus.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has significantly improved our network security especially with the MDR team all our devices synced into Sophos Central who have access to them 24/7 another way its benefitting us is all our VPN tunnels that give us access to various sites whenever we need. Additionally, the web filtering and application control features have allowed us to enforce appropriate internet usage policies and reduce bandwidth waste.

What do you dislike about the product?
- Some of the menus and sub-menus are difficult to navigate, often making it hard to find the specific menu or feature that is required
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our entire network security infrastructure revolves around Sophos Firewall. It's benefit on our cybersecurity setup cannot be overstated.

RMA takes too much time for replacement.

What do you like best about the product?
My experience with the Sophos Firewall has been largely positive. The interface is intuitive and modern, making it relatively easy to configure and manage, even for users who may not have deep networking expertise. The security features are robust, with advanced threat protection, deep packet inspection, and synchronized security providing a strong defense against modern cyber threats.

support is slow, so need to wait for response from oem

Useful and manageable Cybersecurity Team
What do you like best about the product?
Central management, intuitive interface, very useful and practical cybersecurity tool. Facilitates the monitoring and control of network services. Allows very practical control for local and WAN network services.
What do you dislike about the product?
Version updates are very frequent and with certain changes, it does not save those configurations. The NAT and SDWAN section is repetitive in having to select the source networks. We have had the bad experience that when restarting the Sophos for any reason, it no longer starts and the device is diagnosed as RMA.

What do you like best about the product?
Sophos Firewall offers an intuitive web interface, making monitoring and policy management straightforward for our IT team. The integration with Sophos endpoint protection provides an additional layer of protection and enhanced threat response capabilities. After several months of deployment, the solution has proven to be reliable, user-friendly, and well-suited to our needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sophos integrates best with other Sophos products, especially with their XDR solution. You may want to test in depth integration with other solution it is a key requirement for you. Advanced features require additional licences in some cases.

Sophos Firewall provides good web filtering, application control, and policy-based traffic shaping to manage and restrict access based on roles. Additionally, it integrates with Sophos Central and Sophos Endpoint, enabling synchronized security—automated response to threats detected on any endpoint.
