Sophos Central Makes Firewall Management Effortless
What do you like best about the product?
It had a feature of web filtering options which i liked the most but the most important part i liked was sophos central feature where i can view, configure and manage all the firewall from a single console.

firmwares and updates sometimes introduces bugs which causes issues but just sometimes and exporting reports are just basic one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
to be very precise and simple it heavy protects our networks avoid any kind of threats to enter in our networks. Since the attackers are targeting companies to extract their data and putting the companies to bottom line their business so Sophos firewall here can be great savior and game changer. It benefits to avoid any sort of ransomware attack, avoid data breach and noncompliance issue as well . If all these things are okay our business can run smoothly without any interruption.

Rock-Solid Reliability and Outstanding Support from Sophos
What do you like best about the product?
We've been using Sophos firewalls since 2019 and have not had a single hardware failure, failed update or any unscheduled downtime. The migration from XG to XGS was straight forward and almost flawless.
We've had great support from Sophos too. They've provided free in-depth health checks and reviews of our
firewall and endpoint protection configurations and have provided us with helpful recommendations.

What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of mDNS/Bonjour support. A key tool when using the Firewall and Endpoint Protection is Sophos Central.
It's really disappointing that synchronization with Google Directory is only possible by purchasing additional
products, that we already have solutions for.

Sophos XGS, along with their Endpoint Protection, is providing us with excellent network security and reporting. The general time it takes to administer the firewall is less than what we used previously.

What do you like best about the product?
I am truly impressed with how Sophos Firewall handles network security through its centralized platform combining IPS/IDS, web filtering, and application control. The product's URL filtering feature is particularly outstanding, allowing me to block categories based on user profiles effectively. I love the ease of managing network security; the interface is intuitive and provides excellent visibility of both traffic and users. The centralized dashboard is a huge advantage as it provides comprehensive visibility of bandwidth usage, threat alerts, system performance, and active connections, and even includes real-time traffic monitoring. This graphical view of all rules simplifies understanding rule flow. With its straightforward VPN setup and application filtering, it has made our network management simpler, more transparent, and significantly more secure. The setup process was particularly user-friendly, thanks to a helpful wizard that guided us step-by-step. Finally, the value Sophos Firewall provides for its price compared to other market vendors is commendable, earning it a high recommendation score from me.

I feel that the reporting options in Sophos Firewall could offer more flexibility for customized analysis. It would be beneficial if the system allowed users to create fully customized reports by selecting exact fields and filters. Additionally, supporting multiple export formats would enhance its functionality.

One part I appreciate is that it is very easy to manage. Sophos XGS advanced threat protection capabilities have helped me to identify threats. It has a dashboard feature that gives alerts of activities occurring within the firewall.It has improved my security posture in my enterprise network.
What needs improvement?
One improvement I would like to see is a better activities log, such as a monitoring log that tracks activity more comprehensively.

I have been working with Sophos XGS for almost over five years.

The initial setup for Sophos XGS is simple.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I find it hard to consider alternatives, but I think Fortinet is also simple. However, one area where I do not prefer Fortinet is in the configuration, as it is not as straightforward or simple as Sophos XGS. I prefer playing with Sophos XGS based on my own opinion and preference.
What other advice do I have?
I am currently using Sophos XGS. I have a Sophos firewall and endpoint antivirus. I am using the XG and XGS series, specifically the XGS 3300. I am not working with the real-time threat mitigation functionality. Sophos XGS has enabled my processes to run smoothly and provides the main benefits of saving time, saving money, and streamlining processes. I would rate this product a 9 out of 10 overall.

The single dashboard that shows me everything I need to know. I can see security events, block malicious traffic, and manage user web access all from one clean interface. It's powerful but doesn't make things complicated.

as per i have not facing any challenges it's working fine in my network and its very easy to manage from sophos central.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were struggling with constant security alerts from our old system that were mostly false positives. Sophos has dramatically reduced this noise with accurate threat detection. The web filtering has also helped us enforce acceptable use policies effectively. The biggest benefit is the time I save – probably 5-6 hours weekly that I used to spend managing multiple security consoles.
