What do you like best about the product?
Sophos Firewall is easy to use and integrates seamlessly with other Sophos solutions. Implementation is straightforward, customer support is responsive, and it offers a rich feature set including IPS, ATP, Web & Application Filtering, VPN, and SD-WAN. It’s reliable for daily use and scales well for different network sizes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Web interface can be slightly slow when managing large rule sets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sophos Firewall helps protect our network from advanced threats with IPS and ATP, secures remote access through VPN, and controls internet usage with Web & Application Filtering. Its SD-WAN optimizes connectivity across sites, while centralized management reduces administrative overhead and improves response time to security incidents.

What I like best about Sophos Firewall is its seamless blend of robust security features and user-friendly management. The intuitive interface, combined with powerful threat protection, makes it easy to configure, monitor, and maintain network security without compromising performance
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, there’s very little to dislike — but if I had to mention something, it would be that the wide range of features can feel overwhelming at first. However, this is easily resolved with a short learning curve, and the comprehensive documentation and support make it a worthwhile investment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sophos Firewall is helping us tackle multiple challenges, from blocking advanced threats to managing bandwidth efficiently across the network. Its real-time visibility and reporting allow us to quickly detect and respond to potential risks, while features like synchronized security ensure our endpoints and firewall work together for maximum protection.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of locating the different configurations and the ease of setting up the networks, as well as the speed with which they can be configured, since on other devices it takes a long time to save a configuration, as I use it daily to monitor web browsing and the behavior of my internet links.
What do you dislike about the product?
What needs to be restarted when the firmware is updated.

Greater visibility to web browsing reports and greater visibility of network logos and the behavior of my users.

What do you like best about the product?
It works and is easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Updates must be watched for and the changelogs must be read. Since this offers a complete set of functions, quite a few things always change.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a company, providing a comprehensive solution is sometimes not so easy, but Sophos offers a complete package in this area that goes beyond the firewall and can be easily integrated with other components.

What is most valuable?
Sophos XG is user-friendly, easily configured, and has all the latest features, including URL filtering.
I have used the Synchronized Security feature of Sophos XG along with the Heartbeat functionality, specifically the Security Heartbeat.
The filtering capabilities of Sophos XG are good and I find it user-friendly.
What needs improvement?
An area that could be improved is technical support's ticket registration process. Sometimes when I contact technical support, they do not register the tickets properly. They ask about registered mail ID and registration number when I am already under pressure. For instance, when the internet is not working or when I cannot apply certain rules, I am already stressed, but the tech support did not register the calls. This happened three to four months ago.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Sophos XG for one year.
What was my experience with deployment of the solution?
Installing Sophos XG is very easy, with no issues encountered.
The complete installation, including setting up all rules, takes approximately one and a half hours.
What other advice do I have?
I am familiar with Sophos XG.
We have purchased Sophos XG directly through Sophos, though I am not aware of the financial operations regarding the purchase.
I rate the technical support as eight out of ten.
On a scale of one to ten, I rate Sophos XG as eight.

Firmware updates can sometimes cause brief service interruptions, and the reporting features could be more customizable for in-depth analysis

I like best about Sophos Firewall is its intuitive web interface and deep visibility into network traffic. The Security Heartbeat feature, which integrates with Sophos endpoints, provides real-time health status of connected devices, making treat isolation automatic and efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Sophos Firewall offers excellent security features, the main area for improvement is in the reporting and logging capabilities. The default reports are limited, and generating customized reports often requires integration with Sophos Central Reporting.
