What do you like best about the product?
All in one firewall whihc includes detailed reporting and User visibility graph called as UTQ is the best attraction. Also SSL vpn is free with unlimited numbers.
What do you dislike about the product?
prices are comparitively high. mobile vpn applicatino is not available but thats not amndatory as we can use any VPN agent to connect. Apart from that there is no specific concern with my experience on the product as of now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
IT has inbuilt reporting. We dont have to maintain a seperate server or computer for reporting. There is no additional charges for the advanced reporting feature. No charges for SSL VPN
A Very Solid Firewall Solution To Protect Organizations From Modern Threats
What do you like best about the product?
The product is very easy to deploy and manage. We have more than 5 physical locations, and all are being managed centrally from our Head Office (thanks to Sophos Central). Firewall logs are very impressive and easy to understand, it has all the details that a network administrator needs to protect organization from modern threats.

What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, we are very happy with Sophos Firewall Solution as till date we have never faced any downtime, our organization is fully protected with latest threats.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Protecting our organization from modern threats with its best in class in-built dual antivirus solution with-in the firewall hardware. Our business performance automatically gets increased if our users are protected.

What do you like best about the product?
Sophos is a stable and powerful firewall, the best feature I liked is the heartbeat and synchronized security as the firewall communicates with in the network devices which has sohos endpoints and ensure an extra protection . Application controll is also a WOW factor which is a bonus with the synchronized securi feature. The feate is free enabled when you have both sophos endpoint and firewall.
What do you dislike about the product?
Everything is fine since te last 5+ years in using Sophos firewall. Synchronized security feature supports only Sophos endpoint whihc is a limitation but since sophos Endpoint is the best in industry im happy and continue using both firewall and endpoint of sophos.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security threats, predictions on user, apps behavior, security management, advanced network management, Zero threat protection, free SSL vpn are few of the features which helped us in solving many of our day today security challenges.

Sophos Firewall filters our network traffic according to our specifications, ensures that external access is possible, e.g. via VPN or our websites, and thus creates the possibility for employees to work safely and efficiently

I like the sophos firewall because it is one of the leaders in IT security and work with alot of their products. I also really like that the client side software integrates with the firewall to provide unmatched security features

to someone with little knowledge on the device will find it hard to navigate and setup

Sophos Central is slow in South Africa - which makes cloud services slow to access.

Security ring-fencing - preventing ransomware and network attacks. Reporting is a great management reporting tool.

Over the last few years, Sophos has implemented or resolved pretty much any problems I had with the firewall.
If I had to say one, I would say the admin interface doesn't always use my full-screen resolution.

Sophos central lets you integrate the firewall with the Endpoint and other Sophos products - gives you a single pane of glass management + view of your environment.

The captive portal functionality isn't great. Compared with other dedicated captive portal functions, it's quite limited - which has forced me to look outside of the Sophos ecosystem for supporting products.

WAN Failover and application steering are very useful in improving application responsiveness and stability.
Blocking unsavoury + malicious content is critical these days.
