Sophos is a total firewall solution.
What do you like best about the product?
Sophos is very easy to configure and I can manage firewall policies effectively. Real-time monitoring and network security options are best in Sophos Firewall. Notification as an alert and the application filter to data protection is also best in Sophos.
What do you dislike about the product?
A few difficulties with using it GUI part especially when using the filter option and of course, the support system of SOPHOS is not very much convenient for end-user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it for VPN purposes and for network security. It is a great tool for virtual network connections. Monitoring and logs also help us to track the infra security.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
if you are planning to secure your network and want to install a firewall then Sophos is the best one.

1. Easily understandable graphical user interface.

1. Configuration using the command line is not very simple and user-friendly.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Changing the configuration of the firewall with the API is helping us the most.
2. Providing user-level access for the internet and other servers in the DMZ zones.
3. Accessing internal servers using port forwarding through a public IP address.

What do you like best about the product?
Our IT team has installed Sophos firewall on all of our company's workstations and laptops to keep our own data and our customer's data secure. This program runs in the background and I don't even notice it, but it keeps me secure at work.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sophos firewall can block many programs you try to install or websites you try to browse that may be required for your job. These needs are changing every day, and you may need to work with your IT team to allow certain permissions that may change every week.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Sophos firewall on all of our company computers because data protection and privacy are a significant concern in the business and technology world these days. It is expected among clients and employees and not worth the risk of ignoring.

Sophos firewall will keep you and your company safe if implemented correctly. Security is a major concern these days.
Complex but Easy to Utilize
What do you like best about the product?
Sophos XG and XGS firewall provides the most user friendly interface I have ever seen.
I've handled Palo Alto, Checkpoint and Juniper firewalls and none of these can top my experience with Sophos in regards with simplicity.

What do you dislike about the product?
- Not that complex with application control.
- NAT is also confusing to new users.
- Cyberoam users are having a hard time migrating to XG because of the linked NAT rule

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SNAT and DNAT are very easy once you're able to get the hands of it. Sophos firewall can be registered in Sophos central to connect Sophos products for lateral movement protection.

What do you like best about the product?
Multi factor authentication through the sophos Authenticator app. Robust level of options for all business situations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really. I guess my only issue is lack of clarity on versioning for firmware and compatibility with backups.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Intrusion prevention system works fine and do the job as expected.
What do you dislike about the product?
Support almost not exist. Support agents generally have no idea what they are doing and acting irresponsibly on the production environment and leaving so many mess behind. Response time is total joke for critical cases (eg; 2-3 days one email and even you reply immediately you get second response after another 2-3 days.

Content filtering and firewall, however not at desired level.

If support is important to you then look for a different product. You will feel alone when the things goes south.

What do you like best about the product?
Risk management and help to reduce the risk of the organization being hit by a cyber incident from threat actors and stay ahead of emerging threats.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nil. Sophos XG firewall has helped analyze logs for proactive monitoring. I will do well to come back and update if anything chnages.

Sophos is a very professional Firewall that you can rely on for either small or big companies.

Sophos XG Firewall simplifies your work, and at the same time, lets you do whatever you might think of concerning Firewall.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only disadvantage I can see in Sophos is that it is slightly slower than other similar software. But that is because it is far more detailed.

As an ICT Supervisor in my company, Sophos helps me give specific permissions to our staff, each depending on his duties.
