What do you like best about the product?
A really useful Linux distribution, stable and very fast when you need support.
What do you dislike about the product?
There may be rapid changes compared to older versions, which will slightly affect business continuity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main factor in choosing it is that it uses server resources sparingly and is fast.

Linux with enterprise support from SUSE
What do you like best about the product?
Easy manageability, secure supply chain, fast security patches, good customer support, compatibility with other SUSE product, wide support in public clouds
What do you dislike about the product?
Integration with Windows OS is not perfect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A very good secure platform for running virtual machines, Docker containers, Kubernetes etc.
One of the most stable enterprise Linux distributions out there
What do you like best about the product?
Stable and easy to manage. Has been a reliable operating system for us for decades.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really, maybe only some components like wicked and btrfs
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SLES is a very reliable operating system. We do not have any downtimes caused by OS issues and we have to spend very little time in administrating SLES.

I love being able to view and manage all our virtual machines in one place. The software stability is awesome.

The deployment process might be difficult for newbies.

What do you like best about the product?
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server has created platform of vast ecosystem of hardened software and services. It has created and enhanced the security of the Unix systems which are mostly the neglected part in IT landscape.
What do you dislike about the product?
No dislikes it has improved the entire Infrastructure to the next levels. Witin the IT capex budgets and not much operational expenditures overall. Key to the success of IT budgets

It helped us in achieving efficeincy. It has made our IT operations mostly cost effective, It has allowed us to mitigate the risks overall and helped us to produce a lot of business value additions

What do you like best about the product?

One possible negative of SLES is that it is not a free and open-source operating system like many other Linux variants. SLES requires a paid membership for business use. However, SUSE provides a free community version named openSUSE. Some businesses that favour open-source software and are on a tight budget may find this a limiting issue.

Very stable, robust and reliable
What do you like best about the product?
I found it very stable, robust and reliable, ease of use server. The standard of the documentation is very high
What do you dislike about the product?
Its not user friendly GUI. Sometimes it is confusing to understand different license version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use SUSE to run the pabx and have found it very reliable and stable. Customer are very staisfied and haven't come across any major issue.

SUSE is perfect for clustering and data processing; unlike other competitors, this option is already managed as standard for processes that require high computing.
Managing several servers at the same time requires a successful configuration and high-performance cables; with SUSE it is possible to perform these functions.

What do you dislike about the product?
I have compatibility problems with previous versions of SUSE and RPM to integrate into my service; although the technical support solves me or looks for alternatives, I always have to resort to this service, wasting time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data management and complex equation processes at the University to demonstrate theories with multiple servers working simultaneously; with SUSE I am able to unite this power and use the required response in less time.

Reliable Operating system for enterprise workloads!
What do you like best about the product?
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) is very reliable, stable and highly available OS to run critical Enterprise workloads like SAP and SAP HANA. It provides very stable HA module on which you can rely high availability gaurantee for higher SLA
What do you dislike about the product?
May be more user friendly GUI (Graphical User Interface) would be better.. also more detailed documentation would be better for all the features. sometimes it is confusing to understand different license versions
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Very reliable and and Stable operating system to run enterprise workloads like SAP and SAP HANA. It has HA module which provide fault tolerance during any issue by failing over the workloads to another working node from failed node
