Fair Qlik Sense Feedback

  • November 04, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The tool has a strong backend engine, which allows users to explore the data and get actionable insights from the data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tool requires much more options to customize the charts and graphs. Also the chart library should have many more graphs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main challenge that Qlik sense solves is to connect to multiple data sources. Customer do not require any ETL tool or DW/DL to connect those data points. This results into a faster insights into over all data points.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want data to speak, you must use this.

Very Powerful and provides best in market time to value!

  • November 03, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Powerful ETL capability , Associative data model, and Qlik Sense Visualizations
What do you dislike about the product?
Web Connectors need to upgraded to Qlik Sense connections. Too much waisted time on the ones that all competitors have in their products. This is about the only area where Tableau has something better than Qlik Sense.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Healthcare Finance, Operations, analytics for many applications. currently we have about 50+ ETL apps provided data to about 25+ End User applications.

Qlik Sense an easy to do Business Intelligence

  • November 03, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The self-completion of the data, the analysis and the correlation between them facilitates the work of beginners. After that it is easy to see the automatic script created by Qlik to add the indexed data. the applications that display the standardized data are the great differential. They are easy to do on the qlik sense desktop and can be exported to qlik sense enterprise. Constant updates of visualization packages make it easier to improve previously created apps.
What do you dislike about the product?
Connections to relational databases can be difficult for beginners. Script errors when detected by the application within an SQL command do not clearly state where the error is. In consultation with the QLIK community forums, we sometimes get the answers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work in a government environmental organization, which has systems and a large volume of structured data. With QLIK we can locate enterprises and individuals that are out of the average and standing out in the database. Thus, we can detect illicit businesses and intensify environmental inspections.

Very interactive App

  • November 03, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing in Qlik-Sense is that it is very fast and interactive. I also like how Qlik manages the backend (scripting) part.
What do you dislike about the product?
sometimes, the working on visual part is limited because we have to fit visuals in the grid and grid size is not flexible enough.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Business related problems/report automation
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Script syntax is very unique, but it is worth to learn

The best BI tool for Analytics and Data Visualization

  • November 03, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Qlik Sense is a tool that allows you to easily manage your data, edit and create links between tables. It also has a wide range of charts and objects to visualize data in a user-friendly interface. I use Qlik Sense on a daily basis and it responds to all of my needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Actually, I don't have any complaints about Qlik. It literally can do anything you want to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have already worked with Qlik Sense in a Big 4 and also in a big insurance company. I have already used it to solve problems in HR (People Analytics), in Finance (To manage and display cash flow and financial statement analysis) and Insurance management (Analysis of claims, costs and profits).

Qlik Sense is a powerful tool Business Users can create Self Serve Reporting

  • November 03, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Qlik Sense is an intuitive reporting tool which allows business users to self serve and create their own reports. The charts, graphs and other analytic tools are straightforward to create. Traditional Excel users will find Qlik Sense and easy transition.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up the data is a key component in a successful experience for Business Users. The scripting language is a steep learning curve and manipulating the data can be complicated. Personally, I'm coming from a Qlikview background and I find creating complicated charts and graphs unavailable in Qlik Sense. There is less customization, but that's the trade off with an easier to create UI.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Qlik Sense for regular scheduled reporting and some user ad-hoc reporting. It's much more efficient to have sales managers log into Qlik Sense and look at their data then emailing out a daily Excel sheet. It also gives regional managers a overview of how all sales are doing in their respected regions and allows them to perform simple analysis of each territories sales. Qlik Sense has saved a lot of time for IT, reporting analyst, and sales managers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a great tool if you have the need for Business Users to create self serve dynamic reporting.

Fast BI

  • November 03, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Fast integration of various data sources, reactive design, fully browser based, beautiful UI for less technical users, ability to extend and integrate Qlik Sense with and into various other solutions.
Storytelling will be useful for repeating meetings where data is presented in a certain form, but questions relating the data and corresponding analyses are required.
What do you dislike about the product?
Creation of UI is slower than in Qlikview, need to add extensions for objects that were basics in Qlikview.
However this is certainly a matter of using Qlik Sense more and getting to know the ins and outs and certainly also due to the architecture being fully browser based and reactive.
Licensing model seems to be rather more limiting than previous models applied to Qlikview
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
UI is more accessible for infrequent/less technical users, thus increasing user acceptance and widespread use.
QS will be used more in a 'dashboarding' function, while QV will still be available for detailed analyses.

Data Analytics

  • November 03, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The integration from data prep through dashboards, including catalog and some data governance capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
The direction towards cloud. For me, while I'm not opposed to cloud solutions, they are not the best option for all cases. Too many applications are going to this model and forgetting that not everything has to be cloud.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am not currently using Qlik Sense as we are still using the legacy Qlikview in house (see the above cloud comment) but we've been using it to handle retail data to create more consistent dashboards across our many customers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Qlik Sense is a very strong end to end solution, but like any product in the analytics world it is not THE solution for everything. Very nice tool to have in the belt nonetheless.

What do you like best about the product?
Qlik help the customers to analyze data of the all departments, identifies troubles, unusual situations and answer questions about metrics or KPI´s
What do you dislike about the product?
Possibly it should be more accessible for SMEs since they cannot access a solution with those prices
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lower operating costs
Increases in sales
Detection of errors in the processes
Better negotiations

Great BI at fair price

  • November 03, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very versatile, so far I have found a way to achieve every requirement from management with very few workarounds
What do you dislike about the product?
Other BI I have used have a wider variety of chart options, besides there are some community favourite charts (like simple table with links) that have been widely used for long time and still haven't been included as native charts
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have many information sources and we have been able to join them trough qlik.

Reporting from our main ERP was providing skewed analysis because it has built-in customised reports for every area and those KPIs used amongst two or more areas were not matching. With qlik we could develop reports so flexible that many areas requirements were satisfied at once and therefore now all areas can use the same info.

Since our home-built ERP was close to collapsing due to intensive use for reporting, many reports were migrated to qlik so that the ERP is now used only to operate and qlik is used to report.

Via dashboards, we could provide management people with quick and trustworthy KPIs and released analysts time to focus on analysis instead of reporting.
