What do you like best about the product?
The best part about OpenShift is how easy it is to deploy and how easy it is to get apps up and running. The days are numbered for building VMs for apps but even as that transition happens, OpenShift still has virtualization intigration.
What do you dislike about the product?
The adoption of OpenShift is a shift in the way we do things in IT. As a result there's a learning curve that needs to be overcome. But if you're not learning in IT you're falling behind so get going and help spread the knowledge to others.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OpenShift helps drive platform delivery quickly!

So far its been great to move to ROSA and not worry about hardware
What do you dislike about the product?
Since we are using ROSA we will eventually have to setup a onprem cluster for some data lag
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had some customers that wanted hosted container service from our main IT unit. We were able to set it up fast and scale it to meet the demand

  • May 07, 2024

What do you like best about the product?
I think what I like about the OpenShift Container platform is the easibility of utilizing the cloud within Red Hat while still having the stability that Red Hat provides.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only issue I find with OpenShift is the lack of information for new users and implementation. The technology is talked about at length however finding beginner level information has proven difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We currently require some of our services to be containerized on a stable platform. OpenShift provides that solution.

What do you like best about the product?
It simplifies kubernetes to the point that our developers can go from no kubernetes knowledge to fully owning their project spaces.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pod scheduler can really get bogged down and become unresponsive. However, red hat has been addressing these issues as time goes on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OCP has been hosting the majority if not all of our webapp work loads. It gives us extremely quick scalability and flexibility to burst into the cloud if needed.
