You need a tool like this to be a part of your security program
What do you like best about the product?
Everyone needs to know how effective their firewalls are. They need to know what rules are used and which ones are not and they need to make the firewalls more efficient. Firewall rules need to be documented for compliance audits. And application flows are key as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
At this time, I do not have enough personal hands-on experience with the tool to make any dislike determinations, so therefore I cannot suggest how to make significant improvements with this product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps clients with firewall efficiency and visibility of their applications. Firewalls and applications are part of a good segmentation strategy which is an essential part of a good security program. And everyone benefits from having happy secure clients.

Algosec identifying the issues or the risks and policy optimization, simplifies and automates network security policy management tat is very important for a ore agile and safer process
What do you dislike about the product?
the Integration of Algosec with other security software tools it's quite complicated, as well as their profiles and internal security rules are a bit complicated to understand
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
for the analysis of the policies implemented and to generate more accurate network maps and provide us with visibility into the segmentation of the client's networks and validate compliance with security policies and best practices [PCI-DSS, ISO27001, etc. )

the memory capacity is very short which sometimes becomes a problem

What do you like best about the product?
AlgoSec is very east to install and get up and running. I like that you can do all your firewall changes, even multiple vendors, from one console. The topology review comes in very handy for creating documentation. Compliance reporting is very good.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing comes to mind in things that need to be improved currently.

Management of multiple brands of Firewall in one console, making FW management more efficient.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being fast in keeping your cyberSec infrastructure secure is key today. New threats from outside and inside your environment, new requirements for keeping your people productiv in a aera of "new work" whereever they are working from challanges every CISO. Defining according policies is one thing, bringing them to live fast, the other thing. This is where the partnership of Alosec and Cisco brings you the necessary speed while sparing your heavy loaded security workforce.

The algosec AFA presents good functionalities to perform the analysis of the rules that are configured in the network FW, facilitating the control of changes and optimization of policies
What do you dislike about the product?
The Risk Analysis section presents several recommendations that in some cases are not feasible, and the IPT needs to be more flexible in its recommendations to be applied.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
He helped us solve several problems with risk levels and improve the level of compliance, as well as improve the performance of our teams by optimizing the rules

Algosec - a trusted security solution
What do you like best about the product?
The integration that is available between so different solutions, like the integration that we can do with VMware NSX and Cisco ACI. In an audit perspective, it is also a fantastic solution, because you can give an overview to auditors without any difficulty, and without compromising the overall security.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have seen directly on projects that sometimes the integration is not working as expected, not so robust as expected, and needs extra development. Also the documentation can be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Again, it can be the glue between solutions from multiple vendors, maintaining granularity between them. You can also manage security policies on a central place and of course, monitor all of them.

Full control of the firewall - control over a secure work environment
Great tool to automate changes and increase visibility over firewall configurations.

Firewall Analyzer is a great tool that simplifies the application discovery process and ruleset clean-up and Fireflow allows us to same a lot of time when changes are required, using zero-touch change management

Nothing to highlight, just working fine for us and our clients.

Firewall change management and policies clean-up is now more automated and simplified, allowing to same time when changes are required and ensuring that our team members stay focus on other network security activities.
