What do you like best about the product?
My Algosec Rep is instrumental in helping me close large deals inside some difficult accounts. Always a pleasure to work with!
What do you dislike about the product?
No downside as of now. Every time I work with the team the information I receive is timely and accurate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My client uses Algosec for security policy management. I don't have specific details to provide at this time.
Algosec works well to glue together interop
What do you like best about the product?
Integration between disparate networks and security products. It also helps to automate rule changes - I've had multiple customers use it successfully to 'glue' together stuff like NSX and Firepower firewalls. Also helps make auditors go away because you can give them readonly access to AlgoSec to see rules and not mess with production gear.
What do you dislike about the product?
Automation is not quite as robust as I'd like at times. This knowledge is a little dated though - I haven't tried to do this in a few years so it may have leveled up in the last few years.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've helped customers glue together disparate gear and have synchronized policies. It saves a TON of manhours to no longer duplicate rules and makes change boards a little faster.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Algosec doesn't have quite as nice of a GUI as some of their competitors but I've found their automations work better.

What do you like best about the product?
For us, the optimization of firewall rules gave us a huge performance boost.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. Great product! Very useful in an enterprise environment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
First was firewall optimization for us. The ability to fit into our new zero trust environment is also really nice.
Mature solution compared to offerings in the market
What do you like best about the product?
The solution has support for a wide range of devices and has a good focus on large enterprises.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some updates take time than usual for rollout.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing firewall policies across a large number of devices. Change management is very easy. Unlike other solutions, the rollout is simpler and free of bugs.

Discuss your requirements in detail with the System Engineering team before finalizing the solution and the rollout.

It made it easier by streamline firewall policy process and by clicking of a few buttons to determine whether is complied.

Best for large scale multi regional application security - especially with multiple hyper scale and legacy systems - been incredible helpful for our glocal clients
What do you dislike about the product?
Vendor engagement in other regions can be challenging especially if that region isn't going to be recognised for the potential business - this can create local engagement in that country difficult
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Multi-region legacy application platforms and too many hyper-scale cloud tenancies - benefits realised is that we are standardising our view into each region and application

Great security tool to manage multi Vendor Firewalls
What do you like best about the product?
Great security management tool for day-to-day activity monitoring that provides over-all security accomplishments and also guides through the process. The detailed reports which gets generated are with very useful information/data and it also helps you with suggestions to improve your overall security posture of the organization.

None that I can think of at the moment..

With simple steps we can analyze our policies of our firewalls, without so many complications.
Made it easier for us to analyze and remove duplicate rules and have greater visibility into our firewalls

We are analyzing and modifying the security rules of some firewalls and we have a better optimization of these.
Eases the pain of securing your cloud migration
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to stage, review and deploy firewall rules.One place for zones and rules. Firewall Analyzer great for daily use. Exporting compliance reports. Troubleshooting with traffic simulation is very easy. It does a great job on the automatic rendering of the network topology including links and VPN tunnels.

Lack of customization for dashboards

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I like the policy tuner analysis which provided you with detailed information on policy usage This feature has been useful for many of our projects when moving from one DC to another and overall management of firewalls
