Support for Cisco Product
What do you like best about the product?
AlgoSec helps with achieving Zero Trust Security goals for the customer. It achieves this by helping them to understand their true security posture. It tells you what needs to be implemented. AlgoSec's partnership with Cisco will push the topic of security forward in this aspect. The Tool simply helps the customer to reduce the attack surface in their network, achieves automation of risk analysis through visibility, automation of change management and also with the migration of multiple data centres to the cloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
I currently have no reservations concerning AlgoSec Tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Still in the prcoess of impementation.
The best value for money (Algosec)
What do you like best about the product?
By using AlgoSec our technical team is now more efficient to delivering their work on time. Before it took a long time for them.
What do you dislike about the product?
Actually, it is an awesome product I couldn't find anything to dislike it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing our firewall and unused rules which we forgot to delete now it's very easy for us to solve very first.

Use this awsome technology it will gives you value for money.

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the customer service, product information and assistance we have received so far. The tool offers many features we can benefit from. Although this wasn't our first option the balance between costs and features really separated is from the pack.
What do you dislike about the product?
It feels too good to be true so far. I'm waiting for the bottom to fall out, maybe not completely but somewhere. I have seen plenty of products reference capabilities and never has any one product been able to reliably due everything it has been billed as being capable of.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to view what's in place, what's unnecessary and the ability to report and support changes made. The biggest benefit in my eyes is the added visibility.
Good Product but still some rough edges to polish
What do you like best about the product?
Policy Optimation and Unused Rule reporting. Change Request path mapping and Firewall triggering.
What do you dislike about the product?
Inability to use the built-in FireFlow Object Update Template as FireFlow currently cannot update existing group objects. Cannot add/remove routes from Firewalls or install an initial Firewall policy on a newly built Firewall.

Reducing Firewall policy bloat/inefficiencies and improving policy implementation times.

The problems with "cleaning up" the environment (AppViz) after getting faulty data in there

Algosec Fireflow has reduced a lot of work effort and the Knowledge gap involved in staging FW Rules on the correct policies.

Needs better Reporting features and more customizable options for Algosec Policy Optimization.

Server/application connectivity validation, Staging of firewall rules using active change.
AlgoSec Product is a Roller Coaster
What do you like best about the product?
It is a potent tool and includes everything an engineer would love to have. The ASMS Suite is beautifully designed and is easy to learn. The way it showcases the risks and has multiple risk categorization for almost every type of firewall is commendable.
What do you dislike about the product?
The maturity level of the product is low, and many of the mentioned features break when the device's count increase.
The API even though easy to access and have lot of use, lack in some basic checks and responses.
The response time from the support team over the issues pointed out.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using AlgoSec to identify a single risk on the cloud firewall level. The significant benefit I see is the vast base of risk that the tool will be able to determine once configured for more than one & the compliance check, which it will also be able to perform simultaneously.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend this product to those whose volume of the devices to cover is moderately less (like below 3000 or so)

Algosec makes things to automate which is a key factor in today's world.

The downside of AlgoSec will be much more helpful to bring in some metrics or dashboards to users.

We have used AlgoSec for the firewall automation process, and it makes us easier to review, build plans and implement the requests using fireflow.

What do you like best about the product?
The GUI is intuitive and easy to learn. The support for a wide variety of devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
The bugs. Every new hotfix or release fixes some things but breaks other things (that used to work).

Compliance issues, risk evaluation, easy to export parts of policies to customers.
