Fast, Accurate Tax Calculations—Worth the Learning Curve
What do you like best about the product?
Quick response. Saves our company money by calculating the appropriate tax rate. Also helps to have all information readily available for any audits
What do you dislike about the product?
I see no downsides. Just be patient if you are a new user, it will be worth the wait!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Appropriate sales & use tax rates including the "special" tax rates in certain states.
User-Friendly Platform with Room for Better Reporting
What do you like best about the product?
Vertex is user friendly and I enjoy being part of Vertex community and university to get more product insights.

The reporting and analytics can be better

The software's indirect tax and reporting features are notable. I found the tools for managing indirect taxes and generating reports to be effective and useful for my needs.

Each tool requires new implementation and a lot more money to use.

They are solving our sales tax compliance and booking for our financials.
Excellent Tax Tools and Support, But Community Site Needs Improvement

It Support and Training University. The tax calculating product is obviously doing excellent job.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its webpage called community site. Specially login page has unnecessarily kept username and password boxes in next page.

Vertex: My Favorite Tool for 16 Years and Counting
What do you like best about the product?
I love the Vertex product because it is a great tool for the user. I have worked with many products in the industry and Vertex is by far my favorite.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't really say there has been anything I dislike about Vertex. I have been a user off and on for almost 16 years.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are going through an implementation we of Vertex O series and Vertex returns this will help streamline our manual process.
Automation Made Easy, But Communication Needs Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
More automation of things we had been doing manually

At times, communication can be lacking, particularly regarding support tickets and updates or changes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
RTE handles tax rate updates for our retail locations instead of a person manually changing those. Also, the return prep is cleaner than where we were previously.
