What do you like best about the product?
CData Connect AI’s best feature is that it enables AI to securely access live business data without moving or duplicating it, which helps deliver accurate, real-time insights with minimal setup.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main drawbacks of CData Connect AI are that it can be slow with complex queries because it doesn’t store data. It’s also not a full ETL replacement, since its transformation capabilities are limited. It relies on clean data to work well, and in some cases it may add complexity rather than simplify your stack. Finally, it can be expensive compared to DIY solutions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CData Connect AI addresses the challenge of AI not having simple access to real, up-to-date business data that’s spread across multiple systems. It connects AI directly to live data without requiring complex pipelines or data copying, which makes the answers more accurate and genuinely useful. The result is faster insights, less manual data work, and AI that can actually understand and respond based on your real business context.

I like it most for its real-time data connectivity, its straightforward integration with multiple systems, and the way it strengthens AI by providing accurate, up-to-date business insights.

There are a few areas that could be improved: occasional performance slowdowns, some initial complexity when navigating the interface, and customer support response times that can be slower than expected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CData Connect AI helps solve issues such as data silos, manual data handling, and limited real-time access by connecting AI directly to live enterprise data. For me, this means faster insights, less manual effort, and better decision-making based on accurate, up-to-date information.
Powerful Connectors and SQL Access Make CData Connect AI a Standout
What do you like best about the product?
I find the out of the box connectors very helpful for me. i can connect to SaaS apps, cloud databases and on-prem systems without writing integration code. Another feature i consistently find myself coming back to is the SQL-based access layer, it gives me a easy way to query data across APIs and other databases. It simplifies debugging and performance tuning. I like that AI and analytics support feel native to the platform and not something added as an add-on. It is easy to expose real-time, governed data directly into AI tools without duplicating data and keeps everything in sync.
What do you dislike about the product?
CData Connect AI feels a dense at first but is very powerful once i get used to it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When my team needed real-time access to operational data, i didn't have to spin up ETL jobs or replicate data into a separate store. I was able to expose governed, read only access to live data that met my security requirements. This solved me the constant issue of safely exposing enterprise data to AI and analytics tools without creating new pipelines or copies.

CData Connect ease to use and ease to implement and it has a very good customer support . i use it frequently it also has number of features and is easy to integrate with any product.

overall the experience with CData Connect cloud was good but UI can improve little bit more.

Easy to connect to cloud. I have used this in tableau to connect to cloud database.

None. Actually this works best to connect to cloud databases unlike the other odbc and jdbc connectors
