Open platform with several supporting capabilities supporting many personas. The company is eager to listen and innovate to help you achieve your goals

Unity catalog is powerful but seems to have been released too soon. SQL Editor UI

Eliminating the need to replicate data for both Data Science and analytics workloads.
Databricks is the best Data Engineering product I've used.

The Lakehouse platform is an intuitive platform that makes data ingestion and consumption easy.

The Databricks Lakehouse Platform requires you to not like doing things the old hard way.

The platform is allowing us to scale our tools and data along with our company as we grow.

It's unified and provides a great way to have all the data and model code in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does not include containerization in an application-level.

It allows all the code to be in one place and have an unified managed space.
Makes It Easy to Connect Various Data Sources in a Unified Interface
What do you like best about the product?
Lakehouse makes connecting data from a variety of sources very straightforward and allows our teams to easily merge datasets and annotate data. This makes our processes much more streamlined.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be advantageous to have support for various types of developer tools; our use case is internal API development, and it would be beneficial to have the ability to test how schemas can affect downstream API endpoints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Uniting data from various sources, creating data pipelines, and annotating data using the Bronze / Silver / Gold DLT feature has been extremely helpful to us in our application development.

What do you like best about the product?
The databricks lake house is a great platform to accelerate movement into the cloud BI and analytics. Tools offered by the platform make that possible, such as unity catalog, that will allow governance of all of my companies data
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that I dislike about the platform that would turn me a way. There are a few technical implementations that I which could be simpler, and the platform as a whole takes a while to learn.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allowed us to reduce the man hours that I required to move our data we use for reporting into the cloud. With databricks, we bolt a platform that allowed data to move into the cloud without any new development

What do you like best about the product?
Hybrid of two world, warehouse and lake. This would lead to data democratization.

Somewhat closed loop platform which might a bit hard to connect to external tools. Need cost attention

There are capabilities of Databricks that cannot be utilized in my company because of security requirements.

Having multi-clouds solution compare to specific cloud solution that we are currently implementing.
