Do have a Steep Learning Curve Especially for teams new to Spark, Delta Lake, or the unified lakehouse concept.

The learning courses can be more structured.

It provides a single platform for all our data needs - ingestion, shaping, modeling, analytics

I have only been test driving it and it has been fun for experimentation with different ideas.

None yet. I’ll probably find some as I dig in more.

For now just experimentation. Have to see where there is value over time

Our company adopted Databricks for end to end product development, from dataETL to modeling to BI and dashboardig. It has been efficient.

Migration between workspace; no lineage from other database
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I develop model with data from data engineer ETL pipelines, deliver output to app team, and build dashboards.
Good features, some issues with notebook backup and costs visibility
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the ease of using notebooks and the genie. I also like many features available such as catalog and mlflow.

Costs are not easy to understand to the end user. Notebooks backup is not straightforward.

It's beneficial because it allows us to quickly set up pipelines, experiments and complete projects faster.
