Best CentOS alternative. Free distribution for Linux, based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux
What do you like best about the product?
It is an open-source community enterprise operating system and compatible with several system architectures like x86_64, ARM64, PPC64 and s390x.
What do you dislike about the product?
Slow significant updates, as Rocky Linux releases major updates every six months.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rocky Linux is the best free alternative to CentOS and is based on RHEL distribution and is continuously supported by its developers, so we have moved some production applications to it.
Great Enterprise Class OS! But faster releases expected
What do you like best about the product?
Great company supported rebuilds of RHEL, 10 years support. Everything you can expect from Enterprise Class Linux.
What do you dislike about the product?
Slow release cycle. For example, Alma Linux is much faster, I would expect faster builds and testing process from the company supported Linux distribution than from the community supported one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used Rocky Linux 8 as a primary Operating System for our services and hosting needs.
Great support for Docker, Podman, libvirt for running business software.
Perfect replacement to CentOS
I've used CentOS in the past, but since CentOS 8 has died, I've been looking for a replacement and Rocky Linux is perfect
Good OS for Advanced User
What do you like best about the product?
Its good for Red Hat Exam Preparation, aloternative of Cent OS
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing to dislike, because if don't like anything in Rocky Linux, you can customize it as your wish
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
for Beginner Rocky Linux will not be the best option. But it's a great experienced user.
