Fortiportal from Fortinet for IT Security
What do you like best about the product?
Fortiportal makes it very easy to connect with Fortinet to manage your firewall / application level security
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, Fortinet is a great solution, I highly recommend it

FortiPortal makes it easy to configure your Fortinet device and gather analytics

What do you like best about the product?
Great product for company security and management. Easy to use across our whole team and keeps our network secure.
What do you dislike about the product?
When the VPN drops you don't know when it does. It be nice to have a notification when this happens to be able to identity when VPN has dropped quicker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company uses Fortinet for security management and FortiClient for VPN services.
Fortiportal it's a great tool to manage your IT security infrastructure

Easy to use and very friendly with users that has a few acknowledge about Fortinet.

There's not a lot of documentation about the rules and policies that help you to improve your IT security

Fortiportal helps us to improve our IT Security with the Fortigate 200. There are a lot of tools to make our infrastructure secure.

Simplified UI.

Secure SD-WAN configuration.
Monitoring SD-WAN.
Simple Dashboard to monitor all aspects like log, reports etc.

What do you dislike about the product?
Slower reloading time; page takes longer time to load the item.
Sometimes freezes.
Configuring the SD-WAN is a complicated task.
WiFi monitoring is not reliable. It looks like all traffic is not logged.

What do you like best about the product?
The good thing is that we can manage all the security and wireless things from a single platform, connect it to other Fortinet equipment, and manage them from the same.
And We can manage, configure, and troubleshoot wireless and security issue from a single portal.

What do you dislike about the product?
I/We have been using this FortiPortal and luckily did not find any issue related to this portal, so I do not have any dislike at this point. Of course, there is always a chance to improve the portal but there is no dislike at this point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had no tools before where we could manage all the security and network devices from a single portal, and we had faced many issues with managing everything.
Once we started using the Portiportal, almost all the issues were gone. Now we can manage all the Cloud-based Security Policies and wireless from a single platform provided by Fortinet.

What do you like best about the product?
Clear Overview of everything in one glance.
You can customize the dashboard to cater to your needs.

What do you dislike about the product?
It will be nice if it can be integrate with Fortinet Portal and become all in one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security and Vulnerability all in one glance save my time figuring out all the security concerns.
Great Gui portal for threat managment and security for various fortinet products
What do you like best about the product?
Better then the older versions they used. Less clunky and easier to navigate. In addition, the ways different data is displayed not only makes it easier to digest but makes it easier to show to nontechnical management
What do you dislike about the product?
some of the more technical/granulated settings are deeper and harder to locate sometimes. while the older interfaces were clunky, all the available options were without navigating everywhere and/or settings being renamed. The biggest con is the Price. $$$$$ which is why we ended up cancelling the service
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This was an upgrade from the older firewall/threat management the company previously had. Configuring was a bit more of an issue, but so far seems to be doing a better job
Simple and Effective
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is simple and easy to follow, it's very intuitive and makes my every day jobs less stressful. I feel it saves me time every time I login versus similar ASA's.
What do you dislike about the product?
Personally, I have struggled to answer this question but I might say maybe the UI could use some color options. The light blue versus the white text can make it hard to read sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
FortiPortal as well as Fortigates UI makes it easy to understand where I am at and what I am doing without having to guess if I am in the right NAT types or the right services page.
