Great Tool for Detailed Website Insights
What do you like best about the product?
Helps with gathering insights into what users do on our website. I really like how Heap allows us to see the flows on activity and analyze landing page performance.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't see major downsides. It takes some time to understand the platform and achieve a good experience, but the Heap team has always helped with our requests.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Heap helps us to track behavior on our website and platform. Unlike other tools that will only capture what happens after a trigger is created, Heap allows us to see how previous sessions have been trending and firing the triggers.

This is a great tool. We can get a lot of things done without actually having the need to do much.
What do you like best about the product?
I experienced creating a dashboard and it was butter smooth experience. Great experience and easy to understand intuitive bugless functionality
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing from top of my mind that I can think of but I can get in touch in case there is a feedback. UI and overall UX is great

We are able to finetune our analytics dashboards and get insights on how our customers are using the product. This helps us focus on whats needed

What do you like best about the product?
I love how responsive the support team is and really appreciate the 1:1 demos for new features. I also find the reports easy to build.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more graph customizations
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find it much easier to understand usage trends and can more easily identify friction in the customer journey.

Heap has helped me in Identifying how our users use our Current Platform. Funnel Analysis is Amazing and the Effort Analysis Provided also helps in gathering insights
What do you dislike about the product?
We cant identify unique users if we filter by Custom Properties that are assigned to an event. For example for the event "Application Submitted" we have custom properties like SKUs, but when we want to identify the unique users for this event (filtering by SKUs) it wouldnt show up. Happy to share an example by mail.

Heap is great for large scale customer data
What do you like best about the product?
We use both Fullstory and Heap, but we use Heap because it makes it much easier for us to track large-scale customer trends
What do you dislike about the product?
Heap takes much more initial setup than other customer data platforms, so you need someone on the team to have experience with the platform to utilize it fully.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Heap helps us to track customer trends, funnels, and identify usability issues that customers are facing.
Live data feed is the best part of Heap
What do you like best about the product?
As I mentioned, Live Data Feed is the best part; this way, I can ensure that the event I create is correct. Also is very helpful in understanding user flow, and query pageviews table.
What do you dislike about the product?
I noticed that Heap sometimes is missing users actions. I don't find it easy to build reports, though I don't use Heap on a regular basis. For events syncing to the database, it feels like too much info is given while we can get it from heap_session table.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps understand user behavior and to have a/b testing analysis, to understand what website features are being used or not.
Good and easy at defining web metrics. However, I feel limited sometimes in the queries.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that there's a live mode where I can easily define metrics. Also filtering by IP address to help define metrics was easy too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Most of the things I want to do comes through a funnel. Sometime writing queries feels limited. I want to go in more depth, but the things available to choose form is limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Heap support is fine. They usually respond in 1-2 days. I wish they had a live chat support .
easy to use analytics
What do you like best about the product?
I have been able to use Heap to analyze the usage of my product features. I like that you can tag events any time, and you don' t need a developer's involvement like you do with some other tools. The UI is pretty easy to use, and the charts are interactive. We get results right away.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've tried to use the Salesforce account integration and it hasn't worked perfectly. I also think that the funnels tracking could be more intuitive. We have a team of about 10-15 people using Heap and it's gone OK but we are missing some overall data governance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Heap helps the Product team understand usage of features and success rates of key flows and funnels in our application. It helps us make smarter, data driven decisions.
Great for diving into engagement + funnel + AB test metrics
What do you like best about the product?
Heap is fast! If I'm doing an adhoc analysis, I can usually open up Heap and generate a view / chart of what I was looking for in just a couple of minutes or less. In my prior company, we used a different analytics tool and it was so clunky and slow that it deterred me from even doing the analysis. With Heap, I will sometimes do an analysis on the spot to answer a business question, which is amazing!
What do you dislike about the product?
There's some weird limitations in Heap that can make it difficult to use. For example, one thing I commonly try to do is get a list of users that were in a particular group of my AB test. In order to do this, I have to go through 1-2 extra steps of creating a Segment of users before I can get the list of users that were in that Segment, even though I've already built a funnel report that could generate the list of users I'm looking to get. It's possible that I might just be not familiar enough with the tool and that there's an easier way, but I've had at least 1 conversation with a Heap employee and I'm following the recommended steps they provided.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
AB test analysis, adhoc analysis, basic engagement metrics, funnel metrics. I'm super grateful for Heap as our company started using Heap just as we were getting into AB testing and I don't think the analysis I've done would have been possible on the old analytics tool.
An extremely powerful tool that does its very best to make dense information easy to consume.
What do you like best about the product?
I love how flexible the tool is, it works for a variety of different research needs. It also has the ability to compare and contrast things which is helpful when thinking about problems from an A/B lens.
What do you dislike about the product?
The dashboard system is a bit tricky when working at a larger organization. It would be helpful to clean up the UX here, at the very least, not make your dashboard the default, as many users don't have permission to tailor the experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Heap is bridging the gap between Google Analytics and Maze, a more robust tool that allows us to watch users interact with design prototypes. Heap sits right in the middle offering more tools and insights than GA but doesn't overcomplicate the feature set in a way that tries to solve for everything.
