With auto capture and illuminate, heap is a clear winner!
What do you like best about the product?
I like that all interactions are being captured and Heap uses that huge dataset to surface insights you didn't even know you had.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see time on site. They have time between actions but not time on site and average time on pages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Heap helps to invest in the right areas of the product and to test and lear quickly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Look at the cost of maintaining an analytical tool without autocaputre versus Heap. I would prefer to use developer to work on client facing features rather than tooling for analytics.

Numbers still seem off sometimes it's a totally trusted source of truth

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the ease of dashboards and filtering. The online site is pretty well done as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The web implementation was hard to implement into react. It would be good to have a react npm package to make it easier. Hard to switch between projects buts got it done.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to see flows and tunnels of conversion and even a small level of error logging.
Strong value, wish there was more actionable insights
What do you like best about the product?
Heap has an awesome user interface that is easy to navigate for folks across the business (e.g. engineers, marketers, etc.). The insights that Heap can draw in a short amount of time are extremely valuable. For context, I work at a hypergrowth startup that requires us to move extremely fast. Heap has enabled us to make educated decisions quickly and accomplish just that.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of actionable insights and getting data from the product is difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding where users are dropping off in our signup flow. This allows us to find how to optimize our onboarding experience.

What do you like best about the product?
Their analytics give me much-needed visibility into my customers and the areas of opportunity for our product team. I'm able to easily understand areas of engagement and turn those analytics into specific customer actions.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be cumbersome to set up. I encourage anyone considering this tool to be thoughtful and plan out what you are wanting to monitor prior to starting implementation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently, we are using Heap to gain better analytics on our customers and their interactions within our platform. The benefit is knowing where our customers are spending their time which is a leading indicator of value.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Spend time planning out your goals prior to beginning the setup process. It was helpful to have an idea of what I was trying to accomplish. The tool can do so much it can be difficult once you get started.

The analytics is my favorite part, the fact that you can track customers and get a real-time view of the product

I wish that Heap had more connection with other platforms

Heap Ease of ETL Pipeline Implementation
What do you like best about the product?
The documentation and recommendations present to assist in setting up pipelines for heap data. The customizability for extra fields/tables is also very nice.
What do you dislike about the product?
The extra work that feels unnecessarily complicated (applying migrations on s3 exports primarily)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been building a pipeline with our heap data to use it for analytics purposes. We have realized that it really helps give a comprehensive overview that we can use to query for specific insights that we are looking for.

Search through the documentation carefully to understand how to use it for your use cases

It helps devs, products and gives real stats on how your product is doing. Whose using it with an insane amount of USEFUL information. Not just blobs of ugly data. Stuff that you can act upon,.
What do you dislike about the product?
Depending on the complexity and specifics of your Heaps, it does add a decent amount of work in the dev cycle.

A/B testing. Are we getting better results with group A, or with group B. What are the differences?
Easy to use but would like additional features

The ease of use and intuitive set up and display of data

I would like the funnel to be able to split into different paths to display conversions based on other actions.

Identifying conversion and drop off to inform design and ux to improve our customer onboarding success
New user, still need to learn the platform

The ability to create reports and see reports created by others.
What do you dislike about the product?
The terminology takes a while to learn. Plus the layout and the platform in general requires work and focus time.

I'm solving problems regarding the most frequented web pages and understanding where customers are dropping off.
