great tool
What do you like best about the product?
easy to implement, great for tracking , real time data

no mobile dashboard , basically doesnt work on mobile

Simple and effective
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it provides simple apis to send data.
What do you dislike about the product?
It sometimes feels less than comprehensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Conversion tracking and attribution.
Heap is a life saver!
What do you like best about the product?
I love getting insights in real time about user activity. With my react native app (expo) this was the only option for us to get real time user activity that we were looking for. Since implementing heap revenue and customer retention has increased.
What do you dislike about the product?
No major downsides. If anything I wish the data would stream in real time rather than constantly having to query.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We notice trends in user behavior, most insightful is where users drop off or get stuck on a certain screen

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to see path analysis, easy implementation in code base

Path analysis could be fleshed out more. Ability to copy reports to/from environments could be better

We can visualize session counts over time, also good to see adoption rate of new features in app.

I don’t have to know what I need to track from the get go as Heap tracks everything.

The dashboard feature isn’t the most advanced.

We are able to understand our customer funnel really well.
Amazing Analytics Software
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to create events, segments, and automatically track reports and relevant metrics. I also need to be able to track these independently and without needing other API and integrations.

Nothing honestly. I wish the free version was a little more flexible but that's just because I love it so much and want to use it without having to
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need to be able to better track traffic, users, and events without coding anything or pulling in additional tools. I am able to integrate but didn't want to. I need an all in one solution.
A product that has become a core part of our business
What do you like best about the product?
Having everything tracked is a lifesaver for us being able to retroactively track whatever we need.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have been unable to get the event visualizer to work for our site, feels like it would be a nice feature for us.

We run all of our AB tests through Heap integrations and track all user sessions.
Heap helps visualize business metrics
What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Heap for a few years to visualize the KPIs for my SaaS business. It's very easy to use and can analyze historical event data.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much to dislike. Heap is a very flexible platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Heap as a single platform to analyze KPIs, A/B tests, and retention metrics.
Incredible out of the box analytics solution
What do you like best about the product?
You can add essentially one piece of code and some identify calls every time someone enters their email and you are collecting a wealth of data about what people are doing on your website. The best feature is that you don't need to custom make events to track everything, and we can go back and do analysis on things from years/months past that we might not have considered at the time
What do you dislike about the product?
There are still some features that heap does not have that make it hard to be a complete replacement for the free version of Google Analytics. Things like time on site, device break out, drop off points, etc. If Heap did a better job of being on parity with GA + all their other unique features it would be easier to get the entire team off GA and onto Heap
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Funnel Analysis, Conversion rate analysis, some light multi-touch attribution modeling, sending events downstream to Redshift to join with other schema or to send e-mail and SMS messages based on on-site behavior
Fastest route to get the data at your fingertips.
What do you like best about the product?
We really enjoyed the extreme ease of setup and immediate access to data. That was really an Ah-a moment for me personally.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve is hard to follow somehow. Being from a non-tech background it took me time to dive in deeper.

We’ve got a picture of behaviour patterns for our users, and found the weak points of our experience flow.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are a startup that has just started and the only way you can describe your product or site is "chaos", then Heap is what you are looking for. It automatically gets all of the data for you in a matter of minutes. It is invaluable for those who have no time to make a perfect product, yet need to test the waters before they make any product commitments.
